– ONLINE EVENT CO-ORGANIZED BY AMAZON WATCH AND AMAZON FRONTLINES –
JUNE 30TH 2020
Largest oil spill in the last 15 years polluted two major rivers in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Not only Indigenous people were told to shelter at home due to the global pandemic, but they are now seeing their homes, drinking water, and food sources destroyed.
Come together virtually to watch the award-winning documentary, hear from the protagonists and the Indigenous Peoples of Ecuador who are filing a lawsuit against the government and oil companies. Let’s unite our communities in the movement for Indigenous rights and climate justice!
The funds collected will go towards the Ecuador’s Amazon Emergency Action Fund and will support the film impact campaign “No More Sacrificed Communities“. The Ecuador’s Amazon Emergency Action Fund helps indigenous communities in the Amazon protect themselves from coronavirus and the biggest oil spill in more than a decade.
