BLOCKADE IMARC
“Blockade IMARC” is a grassroots alliance with a focus on shutting down the international mining and resources conference. We stand in opposition against extractivism and support communities standing on the front line of these destructive projects. The Condor and the eagle is an illuminating story of such Frontline resistance by communities against extractivist projects. We aim for this viewing to inspire inform the action we take when opposing land destructive industry and hope that it will move others to take action.
This event is free for First Nations people, asylum seekers and refugees. This event is donation based and inclusive. No-one is turned away from the viewing due to a lack of funds. We suggest donations of $10 for those who are unwaged, $25 for those who are waged, $35 for a solidarity ticket, and $45 for a family/household ticket. We welcome extra donations. The donations will go towards Blockade IMARC, a grassroots alliance focussed on opposing extractivism, as well as to support the film impact campaign “No More Sacrificed Communities” and be used to provide small honorariums to our panelists and filmmakers for their time and expertise.
